1. Name

  • The name of the organization is The Flourish Group CIC (hereafter referred to as "The Flourish Group or Flourish").

 

2. Purpose and Objectives

  • The Flourish Group is a Community Interest Company Limited by Guarantee dedicated to designing for social good and promoting creativity within communities.

    Our objectives are:

    • To create positive social impact by transforming public and community spaces into inspirational, welcoming environments.

    • To provide accessible creative opportunities that foster inclusivity, resilience, equity, and well-being.

    • To support communities by providing art resources and delivering creative workshops that encourage self-expression and community connection.

 

3. Our Approach

The Flourish Group achieves its objectives through three main areas of focus:

  • Designing Inspirational Interiors: Transforming public and community spaces to support inclusivity, connection, and mental well-being.

  • Creative Workshops: Delivering workshops that encourage creativity, skill-building, and social engagement.

  • Flourish-Banks: Establishing resource banks that make art and craft materials accessible to all, especially in under-resourced communities.

 

4. Core Values

5. Activities and Services

  • Transformative Design Projects: The Flourish Group leads and executes design projects in community and public spaces, incorporating feedback from residents, local authorities, and stakeholders engaging them in the process from concept through to completion.

  • Creative Workshops: We organize and run workshops that invite participation from individuals of all ages, encouraging personal expression, skill development, and community engagement to build creative legacy in communities.

  • Art Resources and Flourish-Banks: We establish Flourish-Banks to provide free or affordable art supplies to make creativity accessible to all.


 

6. Collaboration and Partnerships

The Flourish Group works with:

  • Community Members and Volunteers: Engaging residents directly in planning and project execution to ensure designs meet community needs and desires.

  • Stakeholders and Policymakers: Partnering with decision-makers to align projects with broader social impact goals.

  • Architects and Expert Tradespeople: Ensuring that design projects are safe, sustainable, and reflective of professional standards.

  • Local Authorities: Collaborating with councils and other government bodies to address community needs and secure project support.

  • Artists and Artisans: Working with creative professionals to add artistic value and cultural relevance to each project.

 

7. Community Impact Goals

The Flourish Group aims to:

  • Improve mental and physical health through well-designed community spaces.

  • Promote inclusivity, ensuring all community members have access to welcoming, safe environments.

  • Address social inequalities by making creative resources accessible to everyone.

  • Enhance community resilience through skill-building workshops and collaborative projects.

  • Foster a sense of ownership and pride within communities by involving residents in design and creation processes.

 

8. Governance Structure

  • The Flourish Group is governed by a Board of Directors (hereafter referred to as "the Board"), responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and financial management of the organisation.

  • Board Composition: The Board comprises a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 10b members, including at least one community representative, one professional in a relevant field, and one individual with experience in social impact.

  • Decision-Making: Decisions are made by majority vote, with the Chair having the casting vote in case of a tie.

  • Meetings: The Board meets at least four times a year to review progress, discuss ongoing projects, and make key decisions.

 

9. Financial Management

The Flourish Group operates as a not-for-profit organisation, with all surplus funds reinvested into community projects and operational costs.

  • Funding Sources: Funding is sourced through grants, donations, fundraising events, and project-based funding agreements with stakeholders as well as commercial design projects.

  • Transparency: The Flourish Group is committed to transparent financial reporting and their annual report will be available upon request.

 

10. Accountability and Reporting

  • Impact Reports: The Flourish Group will produce an annual impact report to evaluate progress toward community goals and measure the social impact of its activities.

  • Community Feedback: We encourage ongoing feedback from community members, workshop participants, and partners, using this input to refine and enhance our projects.

 

11. Review and Amendments

  • This governing document is reviewed every two years by the Board to ensure that it remains aligned with The Flourish Group’s mission and objectives.

  • Any amendments to this document require a two-thirds majority vote by the Board members present at the meeting.

 

12. Dissolution Clause

  • In the event of dissolution, The Flourish Group’s remaining assets will be distributed to Happy Lizzy Event Planning as outlined as the guarantor for the business.  


 

This document serves as the guiding framework for The Flourish Group CIC, ensuring our actions remain consistent with our mission to design for social good and promote creativity in the community.
